Mark has previously worked for Johnson & Johnson in the medical device industry across their international markets. He’s a good all rounder, strategic thinker and has a particular interest in digital marketing. Mark works closely with Lee as part of our largest key account team, acting as the marketing department for our largest client, Stax Trade Centres.
He loves a proper creative brief and has a can do and will do attitude and a thirst for knowledge. He also eats. A lot.
Creative Director & Joint Managing Director

Martin joined Workhouse 21 years ago leading the creative department before becoming more involved in the management of the business as Operations Director and more recently as Joint Managing Director. Martin is a qualified Chartered Designer and recently undertook the prestigious Goldman Sachs 10KSB business development programme.
Still passionate about good creative concepts and design, Martin is now committed to helping lead Workhouse through its ambitious 5 year growth plan.

Mark started Workhouse Advertising and Marketing Ltd in 1992, and led and directed the business to consistent growth and success for over 20 years.
Prior to creating Workhouse, Mark was Client Services Director at leading Manchester Agency BDH and Marketing Manager at national retailer Visionhire Consumer Electronics.
Mark has been awarded Honorary Fellowship of the Chartered Institute of Marketing, and was the inaugural winner of the CIM’s International Gold Medal.
Digital Design Manager

David began his career client side as in-house graphic designer and always had a flair for digital. He came to Workhouse as a web designer and now manages our digital studio, overseeing all of our digital build projects including websites, eMarketing & apps. David facilitates the synergy between cool eye-catching design, usability and successful functionality.
Creative Studio Manager

Jamie began his Workhouse journey with work experience during his uni days, and we saw his potential and refused to let him leave. He was quickly employed as a Junior Designer learning the importance of good brew making and from there, honed his skills alongside the design team.
Jamie manages our creative studio and a highly creative designer, working across all of our clients and a myriad of software packages to help deliver design that works.
Ben’s career started as studio junior, combining this with studies at Blackburn College. Once qualified Ben has spent the last 8 years honing his skills as a talented creative and takes the lead on all the large projects for our largest client Stax Trade Centres. The experience he has gained is now being used to develop and encourage more junior members of the studio where he is also assistant studio manager.
Started at Workhouse: 2005 – 2010, 2016 – Present
Nicky is on her second stint at Workhouse left for a few years to work with Graham & Brown as a Brand Manager. Nicky started her career studying in London, eventually earning her degree in Fashion Promotions at Preston’s UCLAN. During her studies, she worked with a PR agency in London with brands such as Topshop, Debenhams, Kath Kidston and more.
After a few years working with an IT consultancy firm she eventually made her way agency side, which led to her joining Workhouse (for the first time) in 2005. Having enjoyed 5 years with us she was offered a role at Graham & Brown that was an opportunity too good to turn down. After 6 years with the luxury wallcoverings supplier her creative streak eventually led her right back to us, and we couldn’t be more excited to have her back.

After starting her career as a graphic designer, Kim moved into print buying and eventually account management, working in the pharmaceutical, medical and haulage industries and since joining Workhouse has taken on management of a key account team, working on brands such as Hempel Global, Sadolin and Crown Paints.
Kim has experience of both online and offline marketing and loves a challenge.
Head of Digital Strategy

With 20 years digital marketing experience, Sarah has worked both client-side and agency-side, B2B, B2C and public sector on small and large digital projects. Previously at Merlin Entertainments, Visit Lancashire, Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council, Blackwell Publishers and a number of digital agencies in Manchester.
Passionate about the right digital strategy for Workhouse clients, she brings strategic thought to any digital project. Sarah is also currently studying for an MSc in Digital Marketing and loves/needs black coffee.
As one of the founders of Workhouse, Nita has been involved in all aspects of the business. Initially focussing on finance and administration she was increasingly involved with running the Stax Trade Centres account, our biggest client, with Senior Account Manager Mark Camp and the team. Nita’s strong work ethic and attention to detail has laid the foundations for the culture of the business.
Nita has always held the role of Financial Director but is also Joint Managing Director and enjoys contributing to the continued growth, success and development of the business.

Lee has a successful 15-year history working in a variety of Manchester agencies. His impressive portfolio has seen him work with a number of key clients, operating in diverse sectors and markets. Lee works closely with Mark as the Account Director for one of our largest clients, Stax Trade Centres.
Lee blends the lines between organisation and creativity with ease, his passion for enhancing campaigns and always producing better work is infectious.
