Stax Trade Centres

Challenge

Longstanding Workhouse client Stax Trade Centres recently opened their 6th UK branch in Glasgow, Scotland. We were tasked with creating a multi-channel campaign to promote the opening of the new store and create an awareness about the benefits of setting up an account with the popular trade wholesaler.

Audience

Stax supply their goods wholesale to a wide range of independent retailers, trade professionals and merchants. They have a strict ‘trade only’ policy, which meant we needed to be careful with who we targeted for the campaign.

Approach

As part of a fully integrated marketing campaign that utilised a number of different channels to raise awareness of the new branch, we used 48 sheet and Adshell outdoor media. Billboards were strategically placed in the hot spots where they would have the most visibility to passing trade professionals and in the locality of key competitors. All marketing reflected the message that Stax provides the biggest range of products at the lowest trade prices available.

 

Results

The campaign ensured that visibility throughout Glasgow was achieved and brand recognition was increased with the city’s trade and retail community. Since the campaign took place there has been a steady, continued rise in tradesmen using the Glasgow branch.

Next Steps

We continue to work with the Stax brand nationwide to further enhance their presence within both the retail and trade sector at all 6 of their UK locations, including Glasgow.
