The Police Authority are to be replaced by Police and Crime Commissioners later this year. Our brief was to develop a distinctive brand, producing a concept and strap line which reflects this unique change in governance and is flexible to meet the needs of changing digital media. The brand has to communicate a sense of excitement, making it distinctive for Lancashire at a local, regional and national level. The brand has to reach 3 distinct audiences: young people voting for the first time, the general public and potential PCC candidates.
To design an identity that has personality, with the flexibility to change to suit both the audience and media channel. The campaign included web page design, online and off line engagement collateral, web banners, screen savers, animated virals for facebook, twitter and YouTube distribution and the filming and editing of the Hotpots song/performance commissioned by the client to support the campaign.
